Here is my watercolour Proboscis Monkey 🐒
It was a completely different experience when painting him, as I had gotten to see these unusual monkeys in the wild and learn about their ecology.
They are such wonderful creatures with so much emotion.

鉤頭動物っていう生き物がいるんですよ。その仲間は全て寄生性で、鉤頭虫って呼ばれてるの。頭側の固着器官（proboscis）に小さなフックが生えてて、これが終宿主の寄生部位に刺さり、引っかかるんだ。まあ何がすごいって、このフックの造形美だよね。フックの数や列は種ごとにおおむね決まってるよ。
