Apollo 18: Mission to the Moon from Accolade 1987 was possibly the best space simulator at the time. I personally thought this was a great game with nice graphics and great speech. 🚀🌚

Lots of Marvel and DC games on the old micros, really nice colourful palette, looks like someone forgot to add the colour on the Speccy

I decided to do this prompt with 4 different color palettes and restrictions:
+ 1-bit
+ C64
+ NES
+ SNES (or basicly just no restriction ^^')

all have the same silhouette

Or, does the CPC win this particular one just coz a C64 port was never completed? 🤔

THUNDERCATS: In 1987 Lion-O began his quest to retrieve the Eye of Thundera. A great action game from Elite Systems this was based on the cartoon and also came to other formats, did you ever rescue your friends?

I recall some of these (Sidewinder, Defender of the Crown, Dungeon Master, Carrier Command) when the Amiga and ST came out, and they were all amazing to us. So I can understand them. But Mercenary and The Sentinel? They are just the C64 games, same colours+sound, but higher-res..

The objects on the C64 version are kinda small, compared to, say, the Amiga version, and certainly the arcade. But it's really got some good speed to it. Whereas, if I go back to the Amiga version.. It's pretty, but it feels kinda slow. 😁

My Fave Games of 1988 No. 1

E.H. International Soccer

Simply the best C64 footy game ever. Incredibly detailed with a huge range of options & pure brilliant gameplay, EHIS is outstanding. I played this more than all the games on this list combined & I loved every single second

Voice samples in Leaderboard Golf? 😮
I'd never even considered that there would be such a thing.
But, then again, I only ever played it on C64 and Amiga. 😁

The Sega one looks colourful.
The C64 version is, I think, the only one I've ever played.
Some events I could never get the hang of. But everyone liked to surf. 😎
