I went with first 100% digital artwork since, prior to getting a graphire tablet for my birthday in 2006 I simply scanned in line art, put it on multiply and colored under that. So here ya go - 2006 vs 2021 https://t.co/osq0tCnFH7
Going back to my Tumblr and found my first drawings n SAI (I used to use MyPaint) in 2016. I learned what overlay, multiply, and luminosity did that day.
Got my first tablet in 2006 and colored this mermaid sketch. I didn't realize that I could toggle the brush off Multiply and so drew every part without picking up the pen, lol :'D Recent piece is an illustration for work! https://t.co/3Wjbwm9PKG
I wanted u to see lol
Improvement of one year(?
April 2020 // April 2021
In the left its my first drawing with overlay, multiply, etc. Bc before this drawing, I always drew without this features bc I never knew what they were. And the left my latest drawing

@CocoaQueen7723 Hope this helps 😅
First I start drawing the tear outlines with a dark color
Then I lower the opacity of the layer until it looks good (usually around 15%)
Then I start adding strong highlights in a new layer
Finally I add some slight shadows with a multiply layer

Doing this and then coloring using a multiply layer overtop is fun!
@queentoriel i just simply slap a multiply layer or purpley overlay on all my paintings n call it a day <3

@CaraioTheCaraio Not doing so well this encounter, reload a save?~
Step two: I realize that I am looking like shit and I decide to go back to my usual technique, which consists of putting a layer in multiply mode and painting like a fucking 5 year old in dark colors
Hehe, I've learned about add, multiply and overlay layers and am currently enjoying it waaay to much playing around with those. Here, have a sunset colored Mu~

Here's an added image texture through a low opacity multiply layer (experimenting with that).
i'm having A Time tonight but realized i can just slap multiply layers onto sketches to color them i'm feeling the p o w e r
there are 2 kinds of shading
using multiply vs using soustraire and reduce the opacity https://t.co/hpAO5x5iK0
[ danny phantom ] 2 versions bc the multiply layer makes it harder to see the rendering
