The point is appealing character design. The question of why would they use simplicity in their design. It's not just because its easier to animate (which it is, allowing more movement) it also expresses character effectively and in an appealing way.

Great question! It changes a lot as I make new OCs and learn more about character design lmao. At the moment, though, probably Boreas and Thrake, or maybe Supernova 🤔 Although I also really like the simplicity of Capella's design... Yeah I don't think I have a good answer 😅
