the thing about the thick paint technique is that it offers some leeway for big changes
if i used my usual process for this, i wouldn't have been able to do it

so i sketched the corset on one layer and blocked out the colors on a different one
slapped the new outfit on top

To me the worst designs are the gen 4 evolutions that don't elaborate on the original's concept in any meaningful way. They're just bigger and more with a lot of unnecessary clutter slapped on and often visually inconsistent with the pre-evo.
