I thought that when Morax was doing the big draggo sculpting, there must be a time when it’s not in a war state, so having him resting and be at ease while Azhdaha were by his side is something I want to draw. (I’m still not clear on lore)

After playing through Zhongli's story quests, I couldn't help but imagine how was his life back then when he was living as Morax with his friend Azdaha. Those good years together were indeed well-preserved in a Cor Lapis' memories.

My submission for Genshin Impact's "Zhongli: Heart of Bedrock". Zhongli bestowing Azhdaha's his eyes gave me the idea for this piece. This would be the beginning of the rock spirit's eyes made from the ores of Liyue.

His first story quest ending with the bit about preserving memories really struck me, truly a heart of bedrock after all he's seen. I love his eyes, he's so calm but his gaze is literally fire 🔥

The comparison of Zhongli's love for Liyue Harbor and how pretty cor lapis stood out in the light really stuck with me, so I drew it. I had lots of fun!
