"Looking detailed and impressive for the reader" doesn’t means that it has to be a painstakingly long to draw style. So I’ve been more aiming for a style that has that middle ground between being somewhat effective but also impressive & detailed with flashy design.

I love the orientation of the sword and crystals in this piece, and how they come to the center to effectively draw the viewer's attention to the Azuki's visage--well done! Wonderful work with the rendering as well, most notably the highlights/shadows ^o^

I thought the portrayal of a half-human/half-spirit Azuki in this entry was a cool concept! In addition, I thought the depiction of perspective/depth was done quite effectively with the use of her hair & the petals--even the bean had its own depth! ^o^

My favorite aspect of this piece aside from the intricate rendering was the highlights/shadows--these were used very effectively in defining the Azuki's facial features ^o^ I also thought the bg. complexity contrasted and helped focus attn. on the Azuki!
Dazai's best tactic to make Chuuya lose his hat,making him throwing a baby tantrum for it to fell down,like when Chuuya didnt want to watch a kid show and rolled on the ground and when Dazai annoyed him the street and he tried in vain to kick him,it's very effective at any age ^^
wanted to wait til i posted it but I made a quick n effective brush for making stuff like hydrangeas. it only needs the first color changed to get the full effect! (leave the secondary white)

They're going with the classic approach (Left) of basically a tall, toned green woman, which is intrinsically more difficult to pull off effectively. If it were more of her modern look (Right) of basically hulk with some more female features, it wouldn't be as hard to pull off.

K-A-W-A-I-I! This Azuki rendition definitely had me looking twice—not out of incredulity, but how minimal yet effective the rendering style was in bringing out her cute character. I thought the substitute for the sword was a nice touch ^o^

I thought the progression in rendering details—from the Azuki, to her kimono, to her blade—very effectively prioritized to the viewer what was important from the artist’s perspective. The blade itself is impeccable—love every aspect of it!

What a cute facial expression—love the eyes! I thought the smaller depiction of the sword was effective in focusing the viewer on the beauty of the visage while still maintaining her warrior aspect. Nicely done ^o^
