i miss when my art was more blocky and had more defined shapes oomf
My friend and I were playing around with ideas for fake 70’s schlocky horror movies and came up with some Hero/Protagonists: Kat Bishop and Tex Arcana 🦇☠️🐺🧟♂️👹
Well she didn't exist but she does now!
Was feeling really artblocky today and didn't get a lot done but the ai character generator by @arfafax is really cute and is good if you are stuck.
Parts of her will probably be reworked but I had to get her own on paper
Always Sailor Moon. I’m currently testing blocky approach to painting, Usagi is great subject, as always.

It's a scary world out there, but ya gotta grow up sometime Anna. A lot of people ask If i've dropped blocky art style since my art has evolved quite a bit. Not quite, it will always have a place in my heart and I can't see myself drawing Anna another way.
Got inspired to draw in this style, and lemme tell ya. Not as easy as it looks. @Deadlox

Whenever I feel blocky, I like to do studies! Hope this motivates you to do some 🥳

If there's one thing I'll miss about pre-2000's capcom, it's definitely the over-exaggerated, blocky character design choices that leave you really scratching your head trying to make sense of them but looked aesthetic af nonetheless.
Saw this retweet from @deviantpiper, and the way twitter formatted the pictures, made me think of angry blocky boy nines.
Blackstar! Blocky shapes aren’t the most fun to draw for me, but they fit for him :)
@yodelinyote I’ve been playing around with my geometric lineless style for the last year or so and I’m super happy with where it is! I really enjoy the blocky shapes and bright colors
Messed around with a blocky style in between commissions. idk about the second one but I adore the first one. I will most likely be messing with it more in the future to get a hang of it and refine it.
decided to take on making a texture pack to calm myself down yesterday. using a limited palatte so the shading is a bit blocky in places but i don't hate it. idk, more to come maybe? we'll see, i want to do the mob textures next
This is especially curious when Litorosuchus, Vancleavea's close relative, has quite blocky, vertical neural spines and shorter osteoderms, more like those on sculling reptiles. Why the difference? Is there some functional difference in the way each 'vancleavean' swam? (4/5)
some stuff was pretty much as I expected: the voice acting was wonderful, and my monkey brain liked seeing blocky bot friends on watercolour backgrounds. And obviously those aesthetic sensibilities are what people remember, and are what have influenced later stories, fairly so!
