A successful colouring practice with a Diablos from my Academy of Men idea. I felt that soft shading works with the reference I used here because the contrast in values weren't so dramatic. The green skintone helps loads because I don't have to deal with human undertones lol

Sonic Adventure 2 really blew me away. It was such a significant step up in animation, detail, everything. And it ran at twice the frame rate as SA1. It solidified in my mind that Sonic Adventure wasn't a very good looking game for its time, if the improvement was THIS dramatic.

It's my humanoid concept of Lugia, a supernatural being who guards the seas and lives alone on a distant island. He's stoic, introverted and enigmatic. It takes a while to see a smile on his face but after some time Lugia becomes more open and acts more like a human.
