Some more progress made on Chinook's face today. Working in Pastels is so different to coloured pencils, the techniques used are quite the opposite to the negative painting needed for coloured pencil.

Something that’s really helping my anxiety & stress levels is - while my kid is awake - to go chill out and use a coloring app called Lake.

Doing something low stakes & non-goal oriented is so soothing, especially when I use it with my iPad & pencil.

Left is clean line brush vs a retooled textured pencil. You may have heard me bitching about this before... but I drown in absolute terror every time I try to draw with "ink" tools for fear of messing up. It's hurting my ability to finish contract work and something's gotta give.
