I'm what they call a Sonic the Hedgehog Puritan. Rather than being a part of the debate of classic versus modern or any other pointless debate, I simply refuse to acknowledge any character who doesn't have "the" in their name. I want all of these inferior characters out of Sonic.
I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but my favorite approach to superhero "families" is when each hero has a different powerset. So rather than Superman and 5 other people with Kryptonian-style powers you have a stretchy guy, a bug girl, a non-powered badass, an inventor..
