Considering the "darker tone" of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, I'd love for Venom to convey a sense of dread & terror whenever he's on-screen. Just wreak total havoc on NYC and hurt the people both Spideys care about. Make him a force that's almost impossible for Peter or Miles to stop.
