Nobody asked for smaller portrait views, but the 3D shader I used puts such heavy outlines at far zoom; the close-ups look better for that purpose.
I really wanted to draw Anji, but I also wanted to practice using a screencap to help me understand where skeleton outlines go. I think it came out pretty well all things considered. I still don't know how to handle highlights, but one step at a time.
So for this week I thought I'd do something different. A submission where I used colored outlines and a submission where the doodles are also colored too. Hope y'all enjoy!!

Can't escape from crossing Ed!
Now, while Blazblue's sprite style might have a few similarities to DBFC's, BB's has more outlines (colored outlines, but still more outline nontheless). Feedback is appreciated like always.
SHO IN FROGGY HOODIE
I didn’t feel like using pen because for some reason it’s harder so the colors are muddy from using pencil outlines instead so yeh
Since someone requested a step-by-step, have some wip's!
Starting with the sketch -> outlines -> flatcolors and -> started background works Still working on it, but you can see where this will be going already :D
Request Art #11, requested by @Alvicias1 (one version has outlines cut off to be better suited as an emote)
^forgot but solis is he/him and starling is they/them
semi-imitating the style but anime eyes are too hard to draw, i thought the outlines for the shadow and light looked neat n a version without the effects too
just realised outlines make such a difference..
i feel so dumb yet enlightened✨
Decided to try out something new with my art. I've always thought that darker colored outlines looked cool so I wanted to test it out. :3

QRT with your first digital art vs most recent (2006 vs 2021)
That was definitely not my first, but that was the earliest I could still find
I think I still scanned traditional outlines and colored with mouse there ksksksk
Before I had a tablet, I would scan pencil drawings of my Sonic FCs and use the polygonal lasso in PS to fill in the outlines. Simple times :)

here's a #Korra! i'm finally dipping my toes into shaded outlines and i can already see the improvement 💪🏽 #LegendOfKorra #PixelArt #MadeWithAseprite
Thought it looked cool without the outlines as well lol 💜 https://t.co/MVciE8yQ9i
@CocoaQueen7723 Hope this helps 😅
First I start drawing the tear outlines with a dark color
Then I lower the opacity of the layer until it looks good (usually around 15%)
Then I start adding strong highlights in a new layer
Finally I add some slight shadows with a multiply layer
all of their designs are near copy pastes of @Drawloverlala's excellent skyline designs with some differences
although I added red outlines around Beans eyes as a Wink to his Relation to Jet the Hawk
