Every volume of Witch Hat Atelier reinforces it as my favorite current comic. Art and character bits are fantastic, and the way it talks about morality and class stratification blow away a certain other series about kids learning magic.

Buried in Snow – 30mi. spitpaint .. knew more or less what I wanted out of this going in, 90% of the piece is super rough, super large brushstrokes, which gave me more time to noodle around on the story bits.

i'm also curious about the real-world inspiration for the wedding attire... the closest thing i could figure (and it's still a huge stretch) is that it's sampling little bits of multiple indonesian cultures but with a fantasy twist, but again i'm no expert (paging ?)

Here is Steve the wolf if he was designed by me today. This was just for fun (yippee!). Steve's original design is over 11 years old and I still love his original to bits yummy eye bleeding red and yellow <3 Steve is a real person btw but he ain't a furry no more smh
