In that specific comic he got the eye lenses for his glasses from his ship so it probably has that old Kriptonian hypnotic effect that makes it so anyone that looks at Clark can't see Superman that was a thing in the old continuity.

P. S. I love how Krypto is implemented into this timeline, Clark's ship recalls a puppy Krypto's shape that's up in space, this means Superboy gets to have Krypto The Super Dog as he's still a child, something I don't we see in other continuities.

Just wish he was actually used.

Arale of course is the poop-poking protagonist of Toriyama’s comic masterpiece Dr. Slump. Goku encounters her during the Red Ribbon arc in the manga (and on a few other occasions in the anime), thus putting DB and Slump in kinda/sorta/not really the same continuity, a bit, maybe.
