Eggman was once Robo-Robotnik. An alternate version of Robotnik from another dimension which also took place several years in the future.. but when he got to Movius prime he impersonated Robotnik.. but.. him and his swatbots looked MUCH more similar to the satam version.

And both Robotniks had a different history. For instance, Archie Robotnik seemingly never had any history with Naugus, as in his backstory, Naugus' role was replaced with Kodos. Clearly, these two had many differences to each other..but how does Eggman fit into this?

With the Archie Robotnik.. He had a slight different design from Satam Robotnik... and also, Archie Robotnik's Swatbots were also designed differently then the Satam Swatbots.
