I am trying to study anatomy in pixel but I'm still not good at it. 😅

Structures (especially Forerunner ones) being reclaimed by nature, covered in ice, or built around trees is my favorite aesthetic and I really hope Halo Infinite has plenty examples of this.

Ces mégastructures sont incroyables, des édifices proches du brutalisme pur sont construits dans nos villes et aux abords. Ces bâtiments semblent renfermer quelque chose d'important, gardé dans le plus grand secret.

It's been hard to drum up the motivation to draw during this heatwave. So instead I've been studying anatomy to help me understand how the structures of the body.

Obviously, only hints of these shapes will make it into the final image but it's nice to know where everything is

A Group of Structures in a Wood
mixed media 2015-20

I have been working on this painting for a long time now… maybe since I first experienced the scene sometime in the mid 90’s - as for the physical painting itself.. it started life as a lose sketch in a notebook ca.2015

They dug another canal through the island of Mound Key and, at its mouth, built “watercourts”—inundated rectangular structures, each thousands of square meters in area. These probably served to catch & store fish: crosses b/w aquariums & enormous living refrigerators.

I know it's not much, but I've been trying to work out the best way to do structures. Thinking a semi-isometric style might work. Tried it out with some ruins to see how it looks. Collisions are going to be a pain :(

The human heart is a 4-chambered muscular organ with the shape and size of a closed fist.

How well do you know your heart? Test your knowledge on its anatomy by identifying the structures on this illustration.

Anton Markus Pasing
