#AndyWarhol at @tate is brilliant: such considered, thoughtful, nuanced curating. Art is so often stripped of its context: this exhibition absolutely returns its history, and the profound — if contradictory and complex — politics of both the work and the society it was a part of.

“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art."

Before Andy Warhol became the icon he is today, he illustrated some Children's books in the 50s including 'The Little Red Hen'. Although not similar to his works now, the scenes are filled with bright colours, animals and a little red hen!

And because I've got a thing for Andy Warhol's style, I like to alter color schemes! I dig @aki001208's art so much, I've enlisted the exquisite @kmichaelrussell to color these superb characters!
Downtown New York in the 1980s. Photographer Jeannette Montgomery Barron was there to capture so many of the big names from that lush and fertile era, including Warhol, Haring, Basquiat, and Sherman. https://t.co/RTdrCnwpfG #Photography
