I did a small thumbnail study of The Origin's vol.1 cover. Yasuhiko has such nice colors, and the angular parts hitting the light, along with the blues/purples mixing with the reds/oranges at the legs are particularly eye catching.

Some of my old artwork again uuhh 2017 or 2018 i think? 🐣 My coloring doesn't really have a massive triangular-shaped shading(?) Back then idk why it shifted like that now. Also i've used to like putting more effort on background even if it's random sparkly stuff 😥

these shows are my favourite in terms of art style/aesthetic, very eye catching and satisfying to watch. i like it when cartoons don’t look sharp and angular but instead keep it silly, strange and loose.

My Cat Clock, also from the original animatic, got the overhaul treatment too.
Went with an angular design from the beginning until I was told to make it a bit more like the original Kit/Cat/Clock...
Again, super last minute. Had to detail features on the ortho drawing instead
