I believe I have a strong theory on why Sangheili prisoners/captives are stripped naked: it’s a sigh on humiliation. The Sangheili are a warrior-race, so armor likely shows status and rank. Being stripped is probably an insult to further Mark a Sangheili’s shame.

Last year I worked my way up from a Prisoner to a Princess and acquired an animal companion on the way.

In the way of a main character, all of my gains have been stripped from me and I am back as a prisoner, reading books to raise up the ranks
