In 1901, the Mayflower was adopted as the official flower of Nova Scotia. This piece from the 1830s is attributed to Maria Morris Miller (1810-1875), who lived in Halifax and produced many watercolour paintings of the native flora of Nova Scotia around that time.

The main goal was to get to Westport. Why That was the last place people could pick up supplies before heading west. There were also freshwater springs nearby.

A copy of Kollnberger's famous painting "The second cavalry of the Bavarians in a state of despair", showing the mail scattered out of the mailbag on the donkey's saddle, is a rare reference to the mail transportation in Greece of the 1830s. It will be presented in NOTOS 2021.
