Found my last drawing from 2009 and pulled up my favorite one from this year.

2009 - 100% sketches with 50% ft. flat colors, too-muted colors, refused to do/post fanart bc of some complex of "gotta be original"

2019 - letting myself do fanart, environments, a better grasp on colors, much lower output but much higher quality

I didn't start creating art until 2013, so its not quite a decade, but I've still come a long way.

1 & 2 - first time drawing on a tablet vs. creating digital portraits these days

I'm pretty sure the Bowser one is pre-2010 at least but the DK piece was from last year so maybe cheating a bit. Seemed fitting to put these two side by side though. Hey, I've gotten pretty good at drawing these Mario things! Hooray for progress!

Figured I’d toss my hat into the meme! I wasn’t doing art OR cosplay until early 2013 so its not as big a gap, but I’m still proud of how far I’ve come !
