Weird thing, if you play AD&D (and I’m sure other editions) you likely spend a lot of time doing “social RP”, i.e. talking in character, negotiating, asking questions, etc rather than say combat. I’ve had this experience in every AD&D game I have ever run.

Flogging my memory, I think WD72 (Dec '84) was my first. But I didn't really start buying it semi-consistently until issue 79.
I remember reviews of Pendragon, Stuff on Cthulhu, AD&D, MERP.. a handful of ads for Citadel, but miniatures were never going to catch on, were they?
