I don't watch a lot of anime nowadays but when I do it's the funky experimental 80s stuff. Just saw Dragon's Heaven and loved the art direction. Also I'm a sucker for a girl in power armour.

With an example from my own work, you really want to consider where your light is coming from and how that will hit the shapes of the armour. In this one, the light is coming from above and is sunlight, so it casts a BRIGHT highlight on the top, and DEEP shadows below.

thanks to making such a great template, I was able to piece together the armour coating for my Spartan OC Kaleb-038. The coating is heavily themed around the CE Marine BDU and armour. I enjoyed doing this, expect more in the future.

monster hunter armour. i love seeing the creative ways monsters are incorporated into the design, and it's a delicate blend between high fantasy and realism. it feels realistic to make armour out of these monsters, rather than just plain high fantasy if that makes sense

Napier is a Chimera who wears armour. Those who have seen his actual appearance, so he's almost like a goat...elephant...dolphin hybrid? It's weird.

But he can utilise strong aquatic abilities, with elegant but vicious movements.
