While this is technically true you don't need to snuggle to have a healthy, happy relationship. Don't force yourself to snuggle if you don't want to.

When I first started being more open about being autistic it didn't take long before someone threw the "But you don't look autistic" line at me. I didn't know how to respond back then so I just seethed.

I'm a stickler when it comes to punctuality, so I can get pretty stressed about whether I'm late or not if I'm not given a specific time to show up.

This is a genuine question. I've had people give me this argument and it really confuses me.

How?

How can people who don't have access to certain services take those services away from others? It just makes no logical sense.

I'm glad that I'm currently on medication that helps with sudden mood shifts because with my current hormone changes I don't want to even think about how bad my mood swings would be.

If you drop me subtle hints I assure you that I will catch exactly zero of them.

The phrase "everyone's a little autistic" annoys me so much because it's not only wrong, it's so easily disproven. If everyone was a little autistic then why are autistics so othered?

Just because someone is non-speaking doesn't mean that they can't communicate.

I can't speak for the experiences of non-speaking autistics, but I know that there are non-speaking autistic self-advocates. If people want to drop the names of some please do so.

I'm such a cat person. But what do I mean by that? That I behave like a cat? That I'm fond of cats? That my fursona is a cat?

Yes.

If you like the puzzle piece, and have discerned a different meaning from it that's awesome! But please understand that a lot of us autistics look at it and see nothing but ableism, a hatred of autism, and the support of Autism $peaks.

You've heard of Resting B*tch Face, now there's Resting Autistic Face!

An autistic person could be doing absolutely nothing, and someone will interpret their facial expression as something rude.

Someone getting an autism diagnosis is something that should be celebrated!

When my friend told me that they finally got diagnosed I was so excited! Since I can't celebrate with them in person I figured I'd celebrate with them in comic form.

Talking about a special interest with people sometimes feels like walking a tightrope:

Don't hold back and you talk too much.

Hold back too much and you don't talk enough.

It feels like an incredibly thin line to walk.

I have a friend who I've made a pact with: when one of us wants to leave a social function we inform the other and we leave together, that way we both get out of there before we get too overwhelmed.

Best pact I've ever made in my life.

Anger is not an emotion I process well. Whether I'm feeling angry, or someone is angry with me, I always get overwhelmed from it and don't know how to deal with it.

Convenience and function over fashion for me. When I finally find a dress with pocket it will become my favourite dress of all time.

Sometimes being autistic and asking for help can be a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Need help? You're just attention seeking. Don't need help? That's proof you're just faking being autistic.

I love when I find a song that hits my brain just right. I will listen to it for hours! Days! Weeks! And then I'll need a break from it because I've listened to it too much.

I've been seeing more of these websites having a "Skip to Recipe" button, and I am so grateful for that, because holy heck is it annoying having to scroll through pages and pages just to get to a recipe!

When I get really into something, like work, or a hobby, I tend to forget everything else, including important things, like eating.
