Wombats even got a megafauna brother! The Diprotodon, a big motherfucker. He’s also a criptid, the Bunyip. Bunyips are a creature from aboriginal mythology (tho the name can vary between mobs), that hangout in billabongs, creeks and other watering holes.
@VivinkArt Could we have mythological creatures from Australia as legendaries like the Bunyip here?
Day 14 of #fakeathon, Bunyip

#Fakeathon Day 14: Bunyip
Bunnamire
Type: Water/Ghost? Dragon?
"They lurk the depths of swamps, dragging prey from above into their territory with its impressive jaws. For the safety of everyone, Trainers and Rangers are recruited to capture these beasts once it is reported."

Crikeydile [grass/water]
The Swamp Beast Pokémon
"It spends most of its time submerged in muddy bog water. It gains some nourishment from the plants growing on its back, but when those aren't enough, it snaps up unwary passersby."
Another new O.C drawn by the amazing @TheKuroyuu who blew me away!!
Inspired by the bunyip from the monstergirl encyclopedia! Elanore is one hell of a floofy snek~ you can find her full bio on my DA in the next couple hours!

Note to self: steer clear of Australia's billabongs. After seeing this depiction of the bunyip, I have no interest in meeting one face to face. Props to artist @scottpurdy for this amazing work (©Paizo). https://t.co/bWKTOjKA8Q #figmentals #bunyip #folklore
Bunyips have a pretty varied physical description, but this one's got a dog's face, an emu's beak, a walrus' teeth, horse's tail, crocodile's body, and giant flipper arms with claws.

Bunyip (Australia): An aboriginal legendary creature - a lake dweller; they are carnivorous, enjoying the flesh of women and children. Descriptions vary, sometimes it is described as having a duck's bill, one eye, resembling a crocodile, or being hirsute.

Finally, I finished what I've been working on! I took a character from concept to sculpting to texturing! I learned many a thing. Here's my boi, inspired by the mythical bunyip! #gameart
