@BalisfixVa Plus, Donkey Kong and Mario are near enough the same age, which was confirmed from Yoshi’s Island DS. It wouldn’t make sense for Cranky to be young the first time he meets Mario and then older by their second encounter in the Jungle Kingdom.

perhaps donkey kong is slightly older than mario and luigi and is near enough the same age as bowser. or dk arcade could take place during the bros’ childhood in new york.
also donkey kong and donkey kong jr MIGHT be the same person. we MIGHT see a flashback where donkey kong was a child and witnessed his father cranky go up against mario
