I really wish these modern episodic,story-driven cartoons really deserve a comeback with a revival or being renewed for another season on both TV and Streaming. They deserve a lot more love,attention,continuation, and more seasons.

Animation doesn't have to be strictly serial or episodic. They could have a multi-seasonal plot that's been leading up to an epic resolution, or just some random fun that it wouldn't matter how or when you watch them. (+)

I remember when this old webcomic from a while back added a serious pregnancy arc into what was previously a comedic and lighthearted series of short, episodic stories, it got pretty fierce feedback but I thought it was brilliant, a true masterclass of writing and subversion.

Bebop rewatch finished. What a masterful show, though I always find it interesting that such an episodic series with an incredibly understated overarching narrative found such mainstream appeal. My favourite episodes remain and especially the latter for its crazy board.
