These two lads. Haxorus is just the peak of what my design tastes are, boiled down into a single lad. Archeops is a close second, and my favourite fossil by a mile

Quill knobs! When present, they indicate large wing feathers. BUT, some birds (ostriches, rheas, ducks) have large wing feathers without quill knobs, so their absence doesn’t mean dinosaurs without them were wingless

YI QI IS SO FUCKING AWESOME AND MORE PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT. THERES FOSSIL EVIDENCE THAT THIS FUCKER HAD SKIN MEMBRANES CONNECTING ITS FINGERS, LIKE A DAMN *BAT*. ITS LITERALLY A TINY WYVERN. ITS NAME MEANS "STRANGE WING" BECAUSE ITS DISCOVERY WAS FUCKING WEIRD

For here's of Rhamphorhynchus creating Rhamphichnus, simultaneously also creating a sentence with far too many "h"'s. It would be neat to explore more non-pterodactyloid terrestrial locomotion in art, but time is never on my side.

Here is Rapskull, the evolution to Rapskil! Rapskull is a Rock/Ghost type. Unlike its previous evolution, this Pokémon is equal parts spiritual energy and the fossil it inhabits. Rapskull might look intimidating, but it’s not particularly ferocious.

Oryctodromeus is super sick. I've thrown it into so many projects for clients over the years. It's one of the only species to have proof that it burrowed and it also displays a unique a family structure. I just wish Idaho's soil was more conductive to preserve fossils.

Notiolofos was a sheep-sized ungulate from the Eocene (53 MYA) and are know from a few fossil teeth. They lived in Antarctica which was connected to S. America by a land bridge. Even though the climate was much warmer than today, they would have had to endure long dark winters.
