Orangeback Flying Squid (Sthenoteuthis pteropus) jump out of the water and glide for considerable distances, like flying fishes. A characteristic pose is taken when gliding: fins are outstretched, arms are organized into one plane, w a "flattened" body pattern.

These were my favorite space ships ever. I remember when I was a kid I would save my allowance and starve myself so I can buy these model kits. Model kits back in the days needed glue and attaching those turrets and fins were a pain.
