in 1986 I learned Metroid's main character Samus was a woman when she removed her helmet at the end of the game in a surprise reveal.

blew my mind at the time! to me at age 13 it was the greatest plot twist ever, my world view shifted

Look, I'm just here to state the facts. The Banished are one of the best things to ever come out of Halo's two-decade lifespan.

Their brutal 'Roman Covenant' aesthetic and oddball characters are absolutely wonderful, I can't wait to fight them in Halo Infinite! 🙌

Very few franchises nail the East X West SciFi aesthetic as accurately as Halo CE, whilst maintaining a largely original structure. Check out the art behind ONI and MARATHON, I feel they're more authentic artistic cousins to Halo CE than even Halo's sequels.

Gabo Garza is one of the best artists to ever work on Halo.

His artistic vision is far-removed from Halo's 'comfort zone,' giving tangibility to the weird and esoteric stuff that is otherwise mostly on the periphery.
