3⃣They give us selfish & morally ambiguous & even outright evil characters that are more "relatable" instead of giving us characters to inspire us to be better people. They do this to deny their own insecurities & to vindicate their own moral failings.⬇️

I never realized how much the mini episodes gave hints towards season 2 and the larger story. Its honestly tragic how much Kappa's time with the vaquita mer shaped who he is. One incident really dug at the core of all his insecurities, and I hope there's some resolution coming up

A fun piece I finished today! I wanted to draw a moment of my ocs Camellia and her daughter Musky bonding together. They like to watch movies together, and every time Musky shows affection to her mom, Camellia feels very happy since she deals with a lot if insecurities!
There isn’t much to Borks design but his horns represent my insecurities and things I don’t like about myself. while they can be seen as a flaw, curse, notnormal, or ugly. others might just see it asa regular part of me that makes me who I am and accept me. @mippness Limelight is my main oc that reflects me. Their markings are all places that I either have insecurities, or where I have constant pain. The idea is turning something bad into something beautiful.

One of them is that my OC Daira is tall and is quite self conscious about it cause he hates to stand out, so he slouches like this when he stands xD
