Thanks to @JennyGaschke I am reminded today is the birthday of the English landscape artist, traveller, and poet, Edward Lear (1812-1888).
On 13/14 April 1858 Lear visited Petra and made these watercolour sketches of the famous ruins of the Nabatean city. 1/6

For #WorldBookNight we are holding some library tours for #ZSLFellows & Patrons, getting up close to our #specialcollections including these Edward Lear plates in two books "Illustrations of the family of Psittacidae" & "Gleanings from the menagerie and aviary at Knowsley Hall"
For #WIPWednesday I'm posting some of the nineteenth century art that's inspiring me as I work on Inferno, the game of swashbuckling #steampunk adventure.

I needed an excuse to draw that one outfit and went to twitter, asked what should I make Lear wear, someone said "DDD's outfit" and I went "well why not?"
I wroke my head a bit trying to do a background for the second one, I'm not really satisfied with it but- oh well.
I see this meme and then an idea popped Instead of finishing my wips I do this. Granted its fast doodles but still lmao.Lear tryna babysit two out of three chaotic fuckers and a third filming everything. Soon shits gonna hit the fan tho.

How did Rachel convinced her to wear this? Simple she said Lear might like it and it happened.
The jacket was a later thing she only accepted the jacket not the full attire but ya know Rachel knows how to get ppl to do what she wants lmao.
(I wrote it in my story hella funny)
@StJohnSol @TomTaylorMade Emphasis on "classic fool" yeah. I don't see a lot of other people picking up on this aspect of the comic. Her portrayal in this comic is downright Shakespearean. She's the Fool to Bruce's King Lear. A court jester as in folklore, yet still distinctly Harley. Tbh I'm impressed.
Haha I draw once in a blue moon
But this one was back in February. So like yeah prisma. I'd use it as a pfp but I like Lear more so.
Anyway my OC Prisma the chaotic menace.
Shes a menace to Lear mostly cause Hoopa and her vibe too well.

Other two!!
Card Captor Fluff and... I wanted to draw Lear with an even more ridiculous haircut but ended up going against it...
Thought about redrawing the cover illustration for Love Melodies, cuz I thought Rory looked kinda weird...
And holy- I improved so much over the last lear 🤯
