@charlenedraws Congrats Charlene! And thanks for the art share!
I’m Torey, a kid lit illustrator who loves drawing animals! Here are some of my favorite works. My favorite children’s book is Bill Peet’s “The Wump World”!

#BookIllustrationOfTheDay is by Bill Peet for “The Caboose that got loose” (1971). Famous for his work on Disney’s Dumbo, Peet went on to have a distinguished career in children’s books in America. Not many made it here, but they are full of his characterful drawings... & trains!

I would like to try drawing my characters in Full Gwain Saga style once.
Hope you like it.

I really enjoyed working on this book a couple of years ago with @BarringtonStoke and now very pleased to see @uovonero's edition. A mysterious story by Mal Peet, exploring fear, anxiety and dreams. I also found the mother/daughter relationship really enjoyable to illustrate.
My darn peets hurt so bad :(
Also random thought do Peet loving furs and microfurs like to drink Peet’s coffee?
The look of the film is heavily inspired by the illustrations of Winnie the Pooh illustrator E.H. Shepard and Disney Animator Bill Peet. I wanted a nice mixture between soft watercolors and a tactile almost colored pencil feel.
Dumbo concept art by Bill Peet, the legendary Disney storyman from Indiana.
