This volume contains the scenes that made me a Carol-obsessed maniac and defined what I want when I read/write female characters: just her slaughtering hundreds of skrulls with a smile of sadistic glee on her face, it’s a JOY to behold.
The Super-Skrull is a wildly powerful character, and set loose in space this book was fun and spectacular. Sotomayor gives these pages an extra punch. Well worth finding.

E como o MCU não é 100% fiel aos quadrinhos maioria das vezes, eu acho bastante provável a possibilidade que a Marvel vá adaptar Veranke como a mãe do Teddy no MCU, o que manteria ele como membro da realeza Skrull. Agora sobre o pai....
Onde entra a conexão com Nick Fury? Talvez na Terra, ele e o Talos acabem encontrando o Teddy, que estaria sendo cuidado por sua mãe adotiva Mary-Jo Altman que também é uma Skrull, antes do Kl'rt e decidem proteger ele dos outros Skrulls.
Vale lembrar que nas HQs, ele é filho de um Kree com uma Skrull. Seu pai é Mar-Vell, o primeiro Capitão Marvel e um grande herói Kree, e sua mãe é Anelle, uma princesa Skrull. Ou seja, Teddy faz parte da família real Skrull e é o herdeiro desse império.

Gerry been kidnapped and Jess has to get past Veranke to save him. Writer Karla Pacheco, Artist Pere Pérez, Colorist Frank D'Armata: A little too much Skrull-duggery, but plenty of the usual fun quips and impeccably-drawn action. 4/5
