the symbol i use for one of my OCs is a lion, tho i guess not so subtly since his name is literally mane lol. his parents named him that since they felt his hair resembled a mane when he was born. plus his family crest is a lion & also hes a leo lol. the lion metaphor runs DEEP.

Last big one - toggling opacity up/down! My lining brushes don't use opacity since it makes my thin lines too light, so this lets me still lightly sketch/subtly build color w/o that!

You can use the opacity + transparency to get soft edges on strokes or blend colors in layers!

in ghanaian culture we have about 122 adinkra symbols that represent a specific concept or idea. i've used a lot of them subtly throughout my artwork.

i always use an adinkrahene circle — it's the symbol of greatness, power and charisma 🔥
