My take on it is that Rey allowed Kylo to live in TLJ (after he had disappointed her so cruelly and staying Dark Side) because she trusted the Force. Yet then Kylo was so aggressive about conquest that she must have doubted her decision.

The movie was full of problems on a script plot and characterization level 👎... I did not enjoy it. 🤷‍♂️ But I do think the actors did their best ... and I love KMT, her potential as an actress and screen presence was barely utilized in TLJ. ✨🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️✨
