It's just in the art style. What? It's art style? Oops.

I'm not a huge fan of The Lion King but I am of Talespin. It was an interesting challenge to make Simba still look like himself but be true to the TV show. I think I was able to do so successfu…

What shows had the largest impact on your style?

There are definitely more but I had to narrow it down to these 💕

Soul Eater is my number 1 influence
Steven Universe is a close 2nd

Talespin and a few other anthro shows made me interested in drawing anthropomorphic animals https://t.co/RDQQpPMnSg

The Sea Duck in Talespin- Kit called it the "Conwing L-16"- it's a fictitious combination of planes- Fairchild C-82 transport, Grumman HU-16 amphibian, and Canadair CL-215 waterbomber. They modeled the plane design so Kit could easily jump out and cloud surf. 🛩🛫✈☁️

Revisiting Talespin last night just reminded me how fond I am of the show, and kinda wish it got similar recognition to other Disney Afternoon programs

Personality-wise he was inspired by Dick Powell, musical actor of the 1930s. Go and watch some of his musical numbers like "Only Have Eyes for You" and "Dames".

Visually he was inspired by Don Karnage from TaleSpin.
