it's the 80th anniversary of the most over-written character in comic book history. my favorite bit anyone ever did with him is this lower right panel where Brian Bolland gives him the saddest, loneliest look. he breaks character.

I bought the DCU Legacies HC (2010) last year and it's a great tour led by Len Wein. Nice reunions like Kubert on Sgt. Rock, Perez on Crisis, Jurgens on Doomsday and rare Bolland interiors on Camelot 3000. A celebration of DC's great history before they screw it up a year later.
