Some Caduceus. I absolutely adore him.

This character was instant love for me, the design and the characterisation by the fantastic just sealed it directly.

Thank you for a beautiful character.

Today we talk character agency.

"Agency helps determine what kind of stories can arise within the narrative, not necessarily by imposing limits, but by directing the story arc in a manner consistent with the characterisation."

For my animation assignment we’re supposed to create and develop characterisations from one of Edward Lear’s nonsense poems and I decided to go for “How Pleasant To Know Mr. Lear”. So here’s my interpretation of Mr. Lear from the poem!

While I will always have my favourite Greyson characterisation (*cough* YouKnowWhoYouAre *cough*) I will also always be a fan of Greyson being very observant unless it's with Redd, where he's totally oblivious. A little break sketch between projects!

Stern understands that Peter Parker is very close to having a villain's origin story.

It's quite apparent here, where Stern revisits the Lee/Ditko origin, capturing a lot of the nastiness of the early characterisation of Peter.

Shockwave sure does seem to have a favourite word, hmm? Perhaps this is where Shockwave gets it from... (I love how unsubtle the characterisation is, even didn't mention it every time he appears, it's great!)

another rambling thread on a recurring characterisation - eph as a student. always learning, even when he’s already considered accomplished. eph is constantly pushing himself toward (his own idea of) excellency

Loved this exhibition of works by Georgian Primitivist painter Niko Pirosmani (1862-1916). Brilliant characterisation & the technique of painting on black oil cloth created really interesting effect.

Here are a few more illustrations from my 'people project' which I'm working on to improve my human characterisation skills.

The villainess of the campaign I run, before and after her transformation into a Lich, and in a parallel universe where she never became corrupted. Kerrizan Kree, gnomish wizard illusionist. She's been an interesting study in characterisation.

I’m Nicola, and as an often mainstream artist I pride myself on delivering clear storytelling, subtle characterisation, sneaky subtext and overt gender-flipped ogling

I'm glad that the only real characterisation for Gooey, in Kirby's Dream Land 2 and 3, is that his sprite turns into this in order to fight the final boss, and that's all the explanation you'll get.
