I realized that I haven't been tweeting out concepts for a while! Just watched the most recent episode and it's very cool to see how things turned out. Here are a bunch of exploratory paintings I did when we were in the early phases of designing Monstra.

Day 1648: Rose! Another night, another exploratory study. Still figuring out what I like in illustrations. I'm liking working with lower saturations and adding in highlights and more vibrant colors. I still need to figure out a smooth way to go from grayscale to color though!

Sometimes I'll get art that's indulgent, sometimes it's exploratory.

But right now this one is aspirational

Exploratory piece for the next comic, though I’ll probably take a break when I wrap up In the Woods to focus on studies and improvement.

This month looks at the script, thumbnails, and exploratory sketches behind the three-page ‘romeo and juliet but gay and at the skatepark’ comic I posted a couple weeks ago.

Hey everyone, sorry for a lack of uploads of anything new. So here is an exploratory sketch of Sibyl and people from her past. They aren't quite canon yet, but it was fun to work on.

Hope you enjoy!

Unused + exploratory work:

Made these last summer, trying to keep to coherent palettes and strong lines to develop editorial work. The pink shading is my favourite.

working on a second ship, going *way* faster now that I can reuse components and I have a bit more experience with what works. this is a cute little 110m long exploratory frigate, modelled on stuff like the Intrepid-class and the NX-01.

I love the way he speaks French, I don’t give a damn if it’s not perfect, actually those imperfections are exquisite 🧡
Caption: there are moments in life when we’re young and we see a peach and wonder ‘Why is this peach here?’ and we follow our rather exploratory instinct.

Here's my little ghoul girl OC, Pastel Phantom (name for now!) This was fun! Some exploratory sketches too, I am trying to be more mindful of posing and how important it is! 🌼

❄️Try to be really loose, free and exploratory while sketching out composition and deciding colour. In my experience it greatly improves the end product, to further this idea try thumbnail variations of the same idea before starting!✍️

For have excerpts of a small exploratory sequence I drew in which lets me put on their fursuit. I was not expecting it to fit so well and feel so comfortable...

Actually fitting almost a bit too well >_>
