Ｗeekly Gallary of Kyosai's Art Works No.24 浮世絵の大御所三代豊国と狂斎との合作版画《獨娘聟八人》（元治元年）は題名の諺を題材とした双六絵。若き狂斎が上りの娘らと聟候補を品定めするための善玉、悪玉を描き、最晩年の豊国が当代役者八人を聟候補に見立てた大きく豪華な作品だ。

Ｗeekly Gallary of Kyosai's Art Works No.22 -2 《繪本 鷹かがみ》には古の鷹狩の様子、各種猛禽類の成鳥や雛の姿、鷹匠の姿、調教の様子、獲物を捉える姿などが詳細に描かれている。「かがみ（鑑）」とは模範、手本の意。本書は暁斎が描いた鷹狩に関するビジュアルなテキストだろう。

Ｗeekly Gallary of Kyosai's Art Works No.14 臨時1号に続き『狂斎画譜』から。夏の瀧の落水の筋を素麺に例えた狂句から離れ、暁斎は半裸の三人の男たちが夢中で素麺を食べる姿を描く。江戸の昔から素麺は細く長く腰が強かったようだ。今年も素麺が恋しい盛夏が待ち遠しい。
