...seeing that reflected in art should help to ultimately educate people about the uncertainty we face in our field.
So yes, large earlobes on non-avian dinosaurs is possible. Even if the initial inspiration were domesticated birds, nature has done far more crazy stuff.

I’m proud to say I’ve drawn velociraptor with earlobes for years! Based off of the “Silkie” chicken breed. Feels nice to be ahead of the trend for once haha
