The ideal Sonic canon is legit just Reboot Archie. Almost all its characters fit in with the main cast and it blends so many locals across the games into one world while also building upon it with new stuff. To me, the world in this franchise would be perfect if it was just this.

Anyway, including Minorities as Main Characters in a region they're not in the mainstream is cool, as it emphasizes that the MC is different & yet "more special" and in the case of Isekai Protagonists, "more overpowered" than locals. Sometimes we POC just want to "feel special".

at one point i was involved in something called SherwoodHorror. a modern mix of Robin Hood (bikers and locals) and vampires. it fizzled out, but I did a bunch of stuff for it. I think the combining of those two elements, including making it modern, was too much.
