The Vale of Wales, Ch 10 Pg 28; Here comes Cernunnos aka the Green Man, aka Hu Gadarn heralding Beltane's annual repaving of Annwn's pathways. In legend, he introduced ploughing to Wales. In VOW, he's Annwn's Guardian Spirit of non-speaking animals, during the rest of the year.
A Lamina (Lamia) is a Basque river maiden who sits upon a river bank combing her beautiful hair. She is irresistible. Also helpful- if you leave a gift for her she might plough your fields for you. Most importantly, she has the feet of a duck. 🦆 #MythologyMonday
People often ask me what the patterns signify - is it the earth or roots? The answer? All and none! I just love pulling colours and patterns together that symbolise nature, but by tapering the patterns and drawing the trees, it's more self-consciously a field with ploughed lines.
‘We plough the seeds & scatter’, is one of the most performed hymns in the UK, written by German poet Claudius.
John Betjeman parodied it as "We spray the fields & scatter the poison on the land" in protest against modern farming methods. #FolkloreThursday

Sure I'm paying attention, if by "paying attention" you mean "disassociating while I imagine myself as a camel embraced by the soft pastel deserts of an Augustus Osborne Lamplough landscape"
Terence went third (11%), and I got a little weird with him.
Mostly part-arachnid, part-crustacean. The pincers felt sort of like an equivalent to his plough, somewhat.
That probably may not be the same case for the engines, however.
Take That Tiger Outside For A Ride
Recent commission for a good pal of wee Tiger Roll. If you’re too wee to jump over the fences, just plough through them.

Polish government: LET'S BRING BACK PEOPLE FROM THE UK IN DECEMBER DESPITE THE RAGING COVID BECAUSE THEY MUST SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH THEIR FAMILIES!
Also Polish government, now that the British variant is making its way through Poland like a snowplough: HOW DID THIS HAPPEN
Final prompt of the challenge “ city of people at night “. Decided to end with the characters I used in the beginning. This was a really fun experience overall and a nice excuse to draw for fun as we plough through other assignments 😆
My research pinboard while writing #TheProphet Day 3. The Cheshire Prophet Robert Nixon. Said to be a stupid ploughboy yet if he existed, foretold death of Charles I, Great Plague & 'Three years of great wars,' one still to come...
