This is an area where we need more data. Some pterosaurs - like Pteranodon, below - are essentially only known from adult specimens: we have one juvenile among thousands of adults. So they _may_ not have been looking after their offspring.

You know, we talk about variety in dinosaurs appearing in media, but rarely about variety in pterosaurs. Pteranodon and Pterodactyl are pretty much the Stegosaurus and Triceratops of the prehistoric flying reptiles at this point. We need some weird ones like the Dsungaripteridae.

Here's my best take on this (not the most helpful view, sorry!). The take home is that Pteranodon does not - to our knowledge - deviate from all the normal stuff we'd say about pterodactyloid posing and soft-tissues. So, upright limbs, brachiopatagium attaching at ankle etc.
