WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS
With the ad work gone due to the Depression, Parkhurst threw himself into painting covers for pulps such as Spicy Detective and Spicy Mystery. He also began working on Fawcett's Whiz Comics. However, he did not mind using certain motifs over and over.
