All I did was save the pic in my gallery and then open the Ibis pop up, but why?

I kept the shadows pretty saturated and made the lighter ones have a warmer tone and the darker ones cooler, but the opposite also looks good. For the background i just kinda picked random colors at first, made the highlights darker using the tone curve, (2/x)

Friend was watching me draw and said she’s infuriated by the way I select colours by using a really saturated and then lowering the opacity until I liked it and go back over with that colour 😞

Made some solid progress on my piece, which MAINLY involved deciding on a bloody colour scheme. I desaturated a bit (although I'm sure the colours will begin to pop as I shade), and really decided to go to down with the whole division between the two "versions".

i didn't make the screentone filter fine enough, so i tooled around a bit to make the colours a little more saturated. then, i made a copy of the ink layer, filled it with a deep brown/purple, and used a watercolour brush to make it look faded.
