In the 80s I read an Omni Magazine news blurb that scientists cloned a Wholly Mammoth from a frozen specimen found in Siberia. Later they revealed the blurb was an April Fools joke. I tho't of that as I read a recent Twitter thread abt Mammoth Meat balls being created in the lab.
