I based his color palette off of a Google search on "colors that associate with music", well that and Sans the skeleton.

Also fun fact but the green parts of his outfit glow in the dark, hence the term LED, and then add the J, and you get LEDJ, get it....I'm clever trust me.

The Snyder design makes it clear there's no human body there and he's basically a walking cybernetic skeleton. It makes sense for him to have difficulty accepting his new life.

The other one could pass as a regular dude with armor. It negates the premise for his character arc.
